Description
Course Description: This course explores diverse forms of grief: acute, disenfranchised, anticipatory, and ambiguous, through the lens of marginalized communities impacted by incarceration, overdose, systemic racism, and generational trauma. Participants will examine how traditional grief frameworks fall short, and how culturally rooted mourning practices and collective healing strategies can reshape support. Tools for holding space, acknowledging historical loss, and integrating culturally responsive grief care into behavioral health practice will be emphasized.
